Data Center Computer Hardware Architecture and Cooling Systems Expert Chad Attlesey Invited to Present During Datacentres 2011

Rochester, MN (April 28, 2011)Hardcore Computer, Inc. (www.hardwarecomputer.com), the industry’s most innovative computer design and manufacturing company, today announced that president, founder and chief technology officer Chad Attlesey will present at Datacentres 2011 on May 6 in Nice, France. Attlesey will introduce his patented LSS 200 technology and discuss the benefits of liquid submersion cooling for data centers worldwide.

“Power demand in data centers is nearing crisis level. Energy costs are estimated at approximately half of the total overhead costs. As servers become more powerful, the situation only gets worse,” said Attlesey. “Our approach to solving the problem not only delivers radically improved cooling efficiency; but, also allows for maximum computational power in the smallest possible real estate. Ultimately, it has a significant, undeniable and immediate reduction in total cost of ownership.”

Hardcore Computer’s LSS 200 employs the company’s total liquid submersion cooling technology and is the first and only patented solution of its kind. According to an independent study, LSS 200 can deliver up to an 80% reduction in data center cooling costs and reduce construction and on-going operating costs by up to 25%. LSS 200 is designed to operate in almost any environment and doesn’t require costly, overly-complicated environmental control systems.

Continued Attlesey, “I am very excited to have the opportunity to present LSS 200 and our total liquid submersion technology to the Datacentres 2011 audience. It’s an honor to be among this group of industry experts to discuss the emerging needs of data centers, their global impact and our role in developing technology required for these challenges. Data centers are constrained in many ways. Space, electricity, availability, compute power, density, total cost of ownership, and carbon demands are enormous concerns that LSS 200 technology addresses.”

Attlesey has a rich history in technology creation, management and development and holds several technology patents. He has extensive knowledge in the fields of electro-mechanical design, computer hardware architecture/design, simulation/modeling, interface design, human factors and industrial/product design.

Prior to Hardcore Computer, Attlesey owned i, Incorporated, an engineering and design consulting service, where he produced designs and managed development to production ramping of high-tech deliverables including rugged, wearable and hand-held computers for military applications. Attlesey also co-founded and served as president and chief technology officer for MindSet, Incorporated, where he invented head-worn display technology, developed night-vision devices, created a variety of body-worn technologies and delivered prototypes to the U.S. military. Prior to his work with MindSet, Attlesey worked for and with Pemstar, a leading provider of engineering automation and test equipment services.

Attlesey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering with a business management minor from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago and performed graduate coursework in industrial design at the IIT Institute of Design and the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
