Hardcore Computer Executive Chad Attlesey Awarded Additional Patents in Liquid Submersion Cooled Computers
Rochester, MN (February 13, 2012) – Chad Attlesey, president, CTO and founder of Hardcore Computer, Inc. (www.hardcorecomputer.com), today announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has granted three additional industry-defining patents (U.S. 8,089,764 B2; U.S. 8,089,765 B2; and U.S. 8,089,766 B2) for case and rack systems for liquid submersion cooling. These patents are a component to Hardcore Computer’s Liquid Submerged Server (LSS) 200, which is the world’s first rack-mounted total-liquid-submersion-cooled server.
Like all Hardcore Computer’s products, the LSS 200 utilizes the company’s total liquid submersion cooling technology, which removes heat, the main barrier of electronics performance.
Hardcore Computer’s cooling design is 1,350 times more efficient than air-cooled computing systems and allows processors to be over clocked on a continuous basis. The LSS 200 design allows for greater component density and shrinks the data center footprint.
“These newest patents underscore the innovative nature of Hardcore Computer’s liquid submersion technology and reinforces our vision of becoming the standard in high powered computing for enterprise, data centers and professionals,” said Attlesey. “What’s more, our liquid submerged servers are easily integrated into existing compute environments.”
With these newest patents, Hardcore Computer now has ten U.S.-issued patents, two in Japan and one in South Korea. All the patents are related to Hardcore Computer’s liquid submersion technology, and demonstrate the company as the dominant leader and pioneer in liquid submersion cooling for computers. The company has been recognized with awards for computing performance including Military Embedded Systems magazine Editor's Choice Award and BladeSystems Insight Summit Customer Choice Award for Innovation, “Best Data Center Innovation”.
